SafeTracker system
What is it?
- A unique safety system that combines alarm and tracking capabilities
-
A system based on a unique technology patented by Mobile Safe Track LTD. It can be used to alert a user when a valuable or a person moves outside of a set safety zone, and to locate the target through wireless broadband networks.
Users?
- Day Care Centres and Nursing Homes
- Companies
- Families
What is it Used for?
- Safeguarding Children and the Elderly
- Safeguarding Valuables
The Four Main features of SafeTracker
1. Tracking Device
A small microchip tracking device is attached to the item that is to be secured. Within the set tracking area, the microchip monitors the signal from the base station and transmits information to the Service Centre. When the tracking device identifies that it is outside the set tracking area, it automatically activates the alarm mode.
2. Home Base
The home base or bases set out the virtual tracking area, within which the tracked item may freely move around. It is possible to utilize any standard WLAN-base or a network of several base stations to define the secure area.
3. Safe tracking
A microchip that is sending out an alarm signal is tracked via the public wireless broadband infrastructure. When the microchip connects to a new WLAN-network, it transmits its ID-number and the identity of the WLAN-network to the Service Centre. The Service Centre identifies the protected item and tracks it via the WLAN-network.
4. Service Centre
The Service Centre identifies a microchip that is outside of its secure virtual area and initiates the tracking process. The Service Centre sends the tracking information to the authorized recipients of this information.
Intelligent and Affordable Safety Tracking
The small tracking device is affordable and easy to hide on the protected item. Depending on what the protected item is, the microchip can be encased either in a bracelet or a Velcro- attachable case. The tracking system can also be embedded into items that have WLAN-capabilities without the need of a separate tracking device.
The ability to create a virtual tracking area based on WLAN-stations simplifies the system’s deployment and minimises the need for additional hardware, as the WLAN-stations can also be used for normal Internet-traffic.
The movement of a tracking device within its virtual tracking area is not tracked, nor can the protected item be identified. In the safety tracking mode, the system is discrete and allows the protected item to move freely within the tracked area. Only when the tracked item moves outside of the safety area, the alarm is activated and the system’s tracking capabilities are initiated. World-wide wireless broadband networks offer an affordable tracking infrastructure.
